Mast-Jägermeister SE becomes the worldwide exclusive distributor of Teremana Tequila. The product stems from Siete Bucks Spirits, a company founded by US actor Dwayne Johnson and US film producer Dany Garcia.

In April 2019, Mast-Jägermeister SE takes over the distribution units of its long-time distribution partner Rémy Cointreau in the Czech Republic and in Slovakia. The newly founded Mast-Jägermeister CZ and Mast-Jägermeister SK help reinforce the company’s position in the fast-growing Eastern European markets.

Mast-Jägermeister SE invests in the Hamburg spirits manufactory GIN SUL. In the same year, the company establishes its innovation and investment unit M-Venture.

In its domestic market, the company establishes an independent sales and marketing subsidiary, Mast-Jägermeister Germany, to improve market cultivation and continue Jägermeister’s success story in Germany.

The filling facilities at Jägermeister headquarters are completely relocated to the Linden plant. The conversion in Linden results in one of the largest and most modern spirits bottling facilities in Europe.

Mast-Jägermeister SE takes over its US importer, Sidney Frank Importing Company, and establishes a subsidiary in the United States – Mast-Jägermeister US. From this point on, the company independently manages all of its biggest markets – the USA, Germany and the United Kingdom.

Mast-Jägermeister SE’s first overseas subsidiary opens in Camberley, United Kingdom. Mast-Jägermeister UK now represents the family company as an independent distributor.

For the first time since the 1960s, new products are added to the portfolio, under the Jägermeister brand – all of which are based on the secret recipe of the original.

Renewed commitment to Wolfenbüttel: around 50 million euros are invested in administration and production. A new administration building is built at the main Wolfenbüttel site. At the same time, the warehouse in Wolfenbüttel-Linden is transformed into a filling plant.

International exports have become increasingly important since the 1990s. For the first time in 2000, export sales exceed domestic sales in Germany.

A new Jägermeister filling plant opens in Kamenz, Saxony. The production site produces primarily for the Eastern European markets but also for countries such as South Africa or Spain.

The company is restructured to become Mast-Jägermeister AG. The shares remain until this day with the Mast family. For the first time, no members of the Mast family sit on company boards.

Later, it is converted into a public limited-liability company regulated under EU law, Mast-Jägermeister SE.

The US importer Sidney Frank signs his first distribution agreement with Jägermeister – and succeeds in making the iconic spirit from Wolfenbüttel a household name in the United States, which is still one of Jägermeister’s key markets worldwide.

The company changes its name to W. Mast Kommanditgesellschaft Jägermeister-Spirituosenfabrik. After the death of Curt Mast, Günter Mast and Dr. Günther Findel take the reins of the Wolfenbüttel company.

A decision with profound consequences: the company reduces its expansive product portfolio to just one product – with the goal of concentrating exclusively on the success of Jägermeister.

As the successful company grows, it moves from the former Jägermeister headquarters to a new building on Hermann-Korb-Straße. In 1967, the street is renamed “Jägermeisterstraße” in honour of Curt Mast’s 70th birthday.

Günter Mast, the nephew of Jägermeister inventor Curt Mast, joins the family company as an authorised representative. His knack for sensational marketing campaigns allows him to transform Jägermeister into one of the most successful and well-known liqueur brands in Germany.

Fascinated by exceptional product quality, Curt Mast develops and launches additional spirits over the years. Meanwhile, the product portfolio consists of almost 20 spirit specialities.

After years of perfecting his formula, Curt Mast creates the Jägermeister recipe – still a secret to this day. One year later the world-famous herbal spirit enters the market.

Vinegar production ceases and the company turns its focus to wine and spirits.

Curt Mast takes over the company from his father Wilhelm. He is passionate about the production of herbal spirits and exceptional product quality; Curt Mast is also a responsible huntsman.

Wilhelm Mast opens his factory in Wolfenbüttel. The original building – which still exists to this day – is dedicated to producing vinegar for the local canning industry and for the nearby mining works in the Harz mountains.
